Call Assistant
macOS · Apple Silicon

Osavus Technology

No bot ever joins your meeting.

Call Assistant captures both sides of any call through its own audio device, transcribes on your Mac with Whisper, and turns what was said into actions you can track. Teams, Meet, Zoom — it never joins the call, it listens from your side.

The loop

Every call feeds the next one.

Recording is the middle of the story, not the end. What someone promised on Tuesday is waiting for you when you open Thursday's call.

  1. 01

    Prepare

Open a briefing built from what's still outstanding with these people: open actions, past decisions, where you left it.

  2. 02

    Record

Start the session. Your mic and the meeting's audio are captured as two separate streams, so every line is already labelled You or Remote.

  3. 03

    Extract

End the call and review what Claude pulled out — summary, actions with an owner and a deadline, decisions. You edit it before anything is saved.

  4. 04

    Track

Actions live in one view across every call and project, with search over transcripts and playback that jumps to the moment something was said.

↺ back to 01 — the next briefing reads from what's still open here.

What it does

Built for the call you're actually in.

Capture

No setup, no bot

One admin prompt installs "Call Assistant Speaker", our own Core Audio driver. The meeting app never sees a participant it didn't invite, and you hear the call normally.

Transcription

Whisper, on your machine

Runs locally — medium by default. Two streams mean You and Remote labels come for free, with no diarization guesswork. An archival re-pass upgrades a saved call later.

Live AI

Help while you're talking

Turn on fact-checks, commitments, suggestions or open questions, or ask free-form questions about what's been said so far. A cost meter runs alongside and stops at your cap.

Afterwards

You review before it saves

Summary, actions and decisions arrive as a draft with the quote each one came from. Edit, uncheck, then save — nothing is filed away on your behalf.

Everyday use

Menu bar and shortcuts

Drive a live session from the menu bar with the window hidden, and reach everything by keyboard.

Connected

Read-only MCP server

Point Claude Desktop or Claude Code at your real call history and ask it questions directly.

Privacy

Your calls stay on your Mac.

Audio and transcripts are plain files in your home folder. The only thing that leaves the machine is a Claude API call you switched on yourself.

  • No telemetry. No analytics, no usage reporting, no system profiling.
  • Your own API key. Stored in the macOS Keychain. Turn every AI feature off and the app makes zero API calls.
  • Plain files you own. A stereo WAV and a line-by-line transcript per call — readable without this app, deletable without it too.
  • One outbound check. At launch the app asks this site whether a newer version exists. That's it.

Requirements
