Call Assistant is provided as-is, free of charge, with no support and no warranty.
That is the honest position rather than a disclaimer buried in the terms. It is built and maintained by one person; there is no support team, no ticket queue, and no response-time commitment. Issues and Discussions are switched off on the releases repository for the same reason — an inbox nobody can answer is worse than no inbox.
What exists instead:
The guide
The user guide covers install, setup, the daily flow, and a troubleshooting section built from the app's own error catalogue — every message it can show you, what causes it, and what to do. Start there. It is genuinely the fastest route to an answer.
Reporting something badly broken
If you hit something the guide does not cover — a crash, lost recording, or plainly wrong behaviour — you are welcome to write to app@osavus.com.
Please understand what that is and is not: a mailbox that is read when time allows, not a support channel. A reply is not guaranteed. Reports of real bugs are genuinely valued and do get fixed; requests for help with setup will usually just point you back at the guide.
If you do write, this makes a report useful:
- What you expected, and what happened instead. One line each.
- The exact error text, if there was one — the
EXC-…code especially. - A crash report, if the app quit unexpectedly: Settings → About → Reveal crash reports opens macOS's crash folder; attach the newest
Call Assistant-*.ips. - Your macOS version and Mac model.
Please do not attach recordings or transcripts. They are yours, they are private, and they are almost never needed to diagnose a problem.
What is not supported
- Intel Macs. Apple Silicon only. The app will not install.
- macOS below 14.4.
- Feature requests. The roadmap is not open, and requests will not get a reply. Nothing personal.
- Deployment, teams, or business use beyond running it yourself. There is no admin story, no licensing tier, and no contract on offer.
If it does not work for you
Delete it. ~/Library/Application Support/CallAssistant/ holds your data, Settings → Audio → Uninstall driver removes the audio component, and dragging the app to the Trash removes the rest. Nothing is left behind and no account needs cancelling.
